![]() How about a PayPal link so that folks can just contribute what they want?Īgain, best wishes – hope your time away was for holiday. I WOULD like to contribute to you so that your are incentivized to press on with all your fun ideas. I’ve spent a lot of time surfing Sim websites for Saitek info and when I found yours I said “Finally, a site for me”. The best article I found discusses the 696 accepting “outside” GPS POS data but the real desire for me is to use the 696 as an input device and thus make my cockpit somewhat complete! Have you ever been asked this? I find the FSX GPS systems extremely cumbersome to use with no keyboard shortcuts for the various buttons – my goal for my Flight Sim is to have little or no interaction with a mouse or keyboard other than the initial flight setup. I have found a few links and articles about that, but most are older. I own a Garmin 696 that I take from plane to plane and would really like to interface it to my FSX setup. I’m looking to add some small displays to make this look even better. Therefore when I fly the Mooney I use the G1000 panel and just use the TV for most all gauges. I haven’t incorporated small monitors or iPads into my setup yet, just using a 70″ Sharp HD TV as my only display. ![]() I would love to have your C172 gauges for my setup and also any you might have for a Mooney, or small jet. And now I have a full Saitek setup with 6 FIPs, the Multi, Radio, Switch, and BIP. I have been flying flight sims since they were invented – Apple 2, IBM PC (running on a half-screen Toshiba laptop back there were no hard drives). I am a private pilot, flying gliders, singles (C172 and DA40), and a R44 rotary. I registered for your newsletter, but I got an email saying my registration failed… even though I had a valid email address in the submittal form… hopefully that resolved itself. I’ve spent the last 5 hours reading your site and enjoying its many offerings. ![]() ![]() Understand your away for a bit – hope you enjoy your time away – you certainly deserve it. ![]()
